Akira

Hey guys.

I asked for a VC with Asian 2824

The movement on the pics looks like a Asian 2892-2 to me.

What do you think?

2892-2 on Trusty site:

That doesn't look like a 2892 to me, the 2892 has a very different rotor bearing than the movement in your pic. I can't remember ever seeing a 2892 with 1 single rotor screw.

the one in your pic looks like a 2824

It's looks like an ST 21 (99% sure), as used in the V2 SOH, it's a well made and assembled movement imo, all the reps I own powered by it are spookily accurate too...:finger:

here's a link, http://www.automaticwatchreview.com/

edit: Robert's correct, the first pic is of a 21j movement...

Since I'm a total noob to watch movements and plain stupid for not having seen the quite obvious

like Robert pointed out yesterday....I'd need your help again.

The said watch is out of stock with the silver dial, but available with a cream dial.

The only version of a cream dial I found on the net is this version:

Don't know if the seller is legit and if there ever was a cream dial version.

Does this movement look like the gen to you too or am I wrong again?

Is the watch from europeanwatch a replica?

Thanks for your help

Gen

There is no offical statement on their site or elsewhere saying there was a cream dial version.

That's why I'm confused a little.

I would steer clear of this to be honest I have no idea what that movement is but it looks very close to the Gen movement too close to be truthful.

Because you don't see it on the Patek site is misleading they made 1000's of watches that are not currently on their site so nothing is impossible their site is really only for new models rather than a reference site

That's a legitimate watch store. First, it's a retail store in Massachusetts and second, there's no implication in any way that they aren't selling anything but genuine watches.

Great. Thanks for the help...I just don't wanted to buy a fantasy model of the VC.

I hope my father likes the cream dial...seems like it's an much older version than the

current white face and silver faced dials.

I think it looks beautiful - really classic.

When they rep the contemporaine then I might have to get one of these.
