tesmith2112 0 Posted March 31, 2011 Is it just me, or is anyone else leery of buying a rep and paying with a CC? Timeshop says they no longer accept PP and instructed me to go to their site and pay with a CC. I've never done any business with Timeshop and I'm sure they're good, but I'm not comfortable with using a CC. I'm just curious how others feel about this topic. prestigewatchco 2 Posted March 31, 2011 I think they are safe enough generally and of course you have the protection from your card issuer if there is a problem. Personally I don't know I would want the responsibility of people giving me their CC details directly and prefer to use a 3rd party as we do then all we see is the payment and delivery details Many of the credit card processors used by rep sites are not main stream for obvious reasons and many are located in former Eastern Block countries although I believe they have to conform to Visa/Mastercard etc levels of security be able to process . KeNnY 29 Posted March 31, 2011 don' worry you are covered when paying with credit card.... and if you are still afraid, create an new credit card, with limited money (only for paying for reps) and your problem will be solved..
greg_r 83 Posted March 31, 2011 Most credit cards offer fraud protection anyhow. Stick to the trusted dealers and you'll be fine - I always pay TS via credit card personally. Alternatively buy from Robert and pay via alertpay, which is, if anything, even safer than paypal.
