Eagl3 0 Posted October 10, 2017 Unless you know he's into watches, I'd get him a Casio GA1000fc. Should be in your budget, is virtually indestructible, and is nice and sporty.

Del 4,459 Posted October 10, 2017 I got a great modded Seiko from Andyboy for my 12 year-old last year (now 13). QUOTE:- No.2 son's 12th birthday today so I got him a Seiko SNK809 modded with Dagaz dial from our very own super-Seiko-modder Andyboy! The standard strap was slightly too big for his skinny wrist (I guess he takes after me! ) so fortunately my back-up strap option of a Bond NATO worked better. What a fantastic little watch (37mm), and it even has a display caseback!

iabounty 8 Posted October 10, 2017 My first watch said Boy Scouts of America on the face and that was in 1959............. It may have even been made in the USA or more likely Japan....... I gave it to my first born son when he was 10. No idea who manufactured it. He still has it and once and a while he gets it out and winds it and it is still working.....
