Found they carry an un-branded pam 249 for $140.00. Then found a new Parnis California dial 249 watch on the bay for $100 shipped, bought it. Identical to pre V's from dealers, only without the OP engraving on movement. Work and looks nice. Perhaps Parnis factory sources for dealers with added engraving? Hefty price difference of over $300.00 for a rep that has the engraving. Same hand wind movement as well. Just a thought. : ) Just a thought.
