Del 4,470 Posted April 6, 2011 Hi folks, As some of you may have read yesterday, my PAM288 with A7750 movement arrived back from TS yesterday but doesn't hack when you pull out the crown to set the time. Does anyone know if there is a quick fix for this, or whether it even matters a damn? Appreciate your input as always Del

Silverspeed 10 Posted April 6, 2011 Could be a keyless works issue winding, date setting and time setting all works like it's supposed to do?
Del 4,470 Posted April 6, 2011 Could be a keyless works issuewinding, date setting and time setting all works like it's supposed to do? Hi Silver, Yeah, more or less. Everything seems to work (no date on the 288), although the movement seems tight, even when setting the time, and the rotor spins sometimes when handwinding. It has been running ok since yesterday, gaining about 1s per hour.
Silverspeed 10 Posted April 6, 2011 Hmmm...you could try to remove the stem and reinsert it again, could be the winding/sliding pinion are not properly aligned

KBH 7 Posted April 6, 2011 I've got several ETA/clones that no longer hack. Can't say that it really bothers me.
Del 4,470 Posted April 6, 2011 I've got several ETA/clones that no longer hack. Can't say that it really bothers me. No hack doesn't bother me that much on it's own, but the fact that this is a new 7750 movement that also doesn't feel right when you set the time or handwind it makes me think that trouble is only around the corner......and it'll cost me many, many greenbacks to have it fully serviced! Can't believe I've been unlucky twice with the same watch
