Ok, the first index is building. We’re around 800.000 posts which are indexed now, so it takes quite a few more hours to reach the 3,6mil

When this is done I’ll open the gates for the first time. No promises tho’, it can be closed again anytime as soon as we find something that isn’t right and might cause issues.

 

Please note that we didn’t create a sales form plugin yet, the sales section might open later depending on what the sales mods decide. The admins don’t want to put the sales mods in a position where they are loaded with extra work.

Live testing is currently underway and a few things that need to be sorted have been discovered.

Ok, final changes are all done and I started the final indexing service. When this is done we're ready to open the doors.
Indexing is a long process, i's currently running at the speed of 39 records per second. We need a total of ~ 8.7 million records indexed... I'm currently trying to use a server rack from work, hope I can it up to have multiple machine build the index with their 32 cores in total. Tho' it's a damn hard config to make them work together multithreaded, so it could well be impossible for my ability and we'll need to wait for 20+ hours to open OR I'm gonna rock it all and open up much faster.

OK NEVERMIND THE PREVIOUS POST: I GOT TWO SERVERS WORKING TOGETHER AND NOW SETTING UP THE OTHER 6 TO START INDEXING.

 

 

Update 2: Rofl, running over 8 servers now and guess what.... We didn't need to index 8.7 million records.... That was total fuckup in the calculation the indexer made because it ran out of resources... I just found out we need to index a total of 28.432.635 records. LOL, that would've taken over a week with just the single engine which is running for keeping the index.
