I am actually curious, what is the justification for a deco movement with a closed caseback? Like why do they bother to go to that effort? What's the market for that?

A cynic would say they're trying to get to the stage where they can sell it as gen and using us as testers.

At some point you won’t be able to distinguish rep from gen... then the real money starts rolling in.

Goodness yeah, that would be big money! Although that would probably be when they get closed down overnight because that's when the resources used to track them down gets multiplied 100 fold.

Even if that happens, as long as they keep selling us reps at rep prices, I'm happy!
