First off you need to find out what’s wrong with the movement, looks like a varient of a DG 2813, a cheap 21600bph movement approx £30 here in the UK,  most people just junk them when they go wrong, I tend to strip and fix them, anyway if you go gen ETA you are looking at a few hundred quid, then factor in new hands as the Chinese hands won’t fit onto an ETA movement, also most probably you will need a new movement ring to make sure it sits snug in the case.

what exactly is your current movement doing or not doing that makes it stop?

dial feet won't work either.

It's a DG2813, stem height is 2.5 mm so that limits your choice of movement to something with a stem height between 2.4 and 2.6 mm - a 2836 will fit. You'll need new hands and the feet from the dial will need to be removed - movement ring will be fine.

New 2813 is the quickest, easiest, cheapest way to go...

For all the trouble sourcing parts, installation costs, modifying etc just get a brand new Regmariner for not much more money they run like troopers.

I've found on eBay that the miyota 8215 movement is apparently replacement for dg2813. Anyone can confirm this movement could be fitted on my sub?

New DG2813 movement from Cousins is ballpark £30 plus delivery. If you’re confident with doing the swap yourself and you have all of the tools, it’s no big deal.

if not, bin it and buy something else.

It will fit, sometimes the second hand doesn't want to go on.

May you elaborate more on the second hand? Does that mean the rest will work except the second hand?

Just replace it with a DG2813. You just take out what You put in, everything fits. Simple swap, cheap, efficient.

Agreed, you have three options

If it has sentimental value

1. Straight swap with a DG2813 because an SA3135 wont fit properly

2. Swap with DG2813 at a repair shop if you aren't comfortable changing

No sentimental value

1. Buy a Reg mariner. as per other member.  SImilar to early noobs with the same movement!
