PAM 438 Tutto Nero

Hi guys, recently took delivery of a new 438, my question.... is the GMT hand positioning independent or is it faux. Ive got other PAM GMT's and all can have the GMT hand moved and positioned independently, or do I have a dud. Ive contacted the TD a couple of times but still waiting for an answer.

Should work as an actual GMT hand, though it being a 12-hour vs 24-hour GMT hand varies by the movement.

My feeling exactly, I think Ive got a faulty one. I just wonder that because this version has an independently adjustable hour hand it changed the workings of the movement.

The GMT hand cannot be adjusted independently. First you set the hour hand relative to the GMT hand on the 2nd position of the crown. Then you pull out completely and then adjust the hour hand and GMT to the correct time.

a quick question on the topic of the PAM 438: 

Is it automatic or do I have to wind it, which then keeps the hands moving for (x) days.  ?
