ARF 36mm SS Datejust 116234

Thinking of buying one of these for my wife . Anybody have one,  or have experience of the watch ,and can give me any advice on whether it is a good buy  ? Especially interested in what people think of dials , and is one colour dial better than others ? The case, strap , cyclops etc look pretty spot on out of the box  , just not sure on dial colours etc , having watched video , the blue looks the most gen like  , not sure about other colours ( I think she would prefer silver ) . Thanks in advance .

They are excellent reps. There were a couple of very long threads on this model on the forum before it went down. Consensus is the dw font is too chunky and people have mixed feelings about the movements so if you want to be pedantic a gen or noob dw and service should be budgeted. The salmon/ pink dials are more bronze but other colours look good.

I frankened and serviced mine as soon as it landed with gen DW, dial and crystal. Hands are good as is the bezel, bracelet and crown. A slight tell is the crown sits on a slight flat part of the case on the gens which isn't present on the ARF 

All in all its recognised as the best DJ out of the box in 36mm your wife will be happy

Wow looks great with the white , looks amazing with the silver  genuine dial . I think i will buy the silver dial  , and see what she thinks and how it looks on wrist. Then look into buying/fitting either or both gen dial / DW .

Duck just looked at M2M sales your watch genuinely looks amazing . A bit rich price wise for me at moment , i am new to this Frankens are something for the future as i get more eperience and contacts  . Although copying what you have done Dial /Dw etc appeals .However i appreciate the work ,the outlay and time put into the piece . Thanks for reply and info .

Just out interest the work done , is it done by yourself ( re pictures) ? If so do you service /customise watches for other members ?

Hi no the work was by a guy over on RWI by the name of Johnny Depp. Based in Italy

ARF  Datejust is almost perfect watch. For casual wearers, it can pass off as real and if you spend a little $ and make it franken, you don't need to go gen ever!!

Arf lume is identical. (Hands are rep, dial is gen rolex)
