Asian 23J automatic movement with functional power reserve indicator

I cannot find any information on a 23J movement.

Can you help identify this movement?

Any information would be helpful.

If I'm not mistaken that's the sea-gull movement that's fitted to quite a few reps, including the UN divers. Very good quality for an inexpensive movement.

Thanks Greg.

It has seconds at 6, a date dial at 3, and a Power Reserve at 11.

I know that seconds at 6 is bad for the A7750.

Same true for this movement?

How does this movement do with all these complications?

Thanks again.

the rotor setup is unusual for an SEA-Gull I think....probably not sea gull....maybe this movement is by a different chinese manufacturer

and probably it does all those complications quite nicely

Nope, no worries here as the sec@6 is native to the MVT and not via a crappy add on module.

As it was designed to run all of that it does very nicely.

As Col says, this movement is designed for secs@6 so no problems at all. They're extremely reliable by all accounts - certainly the one I have in a UN diver has never given any trouble

Thanks ALL.

Is this movement common enough I might persuade my local watch shop to service it?

So this is NOT the likely movement in my PAM? My rep is identical, except the power reserve is 40 not 72 hours.

It has a clear back and you can see the gold colored movement with what looks like engraved Panerai over and over again, but I guess it is a sticker...
