That's an awesome job Rich. Want to swap it for my unmodded version? Mine's nice and shiny new looking, not old like yours.

I'm surprised there's not a vendor on DHGate or another TD out there (believe there's one still around that offers the vintage treatment, but that was on 4 and 5 digit rolex reps) that guns for the vintage look market.. I'd pay another $100, maybe more, on top of the watch price for this treatment. However, Rich's attention to detail and eye for not being overdone is honestly hard to put a price on in itself. You deserve the praise! It's messing with other models and testing lume, what works, what goes too far that really shows in these efforts you've shared w/ the forum. I wear that Milgauss quite often in my rotation and it gets the most comments/inquiries by far, even by non-watch folks. :)

If this ends up as a pass around watch, I’m keeping it and sending off my unmodded version

Yes if you look at the first post it covers it all.

How do you fit the plexi? I'm guessing just glue it in with hypo? I'm assuming that if I measure the internal of the case then I need to order a plexi maybe 0.2mm smaller to allow glue room?

Sorry for the questions,  but the plexi really makes it stand out

Its at the end of the tutorial. I ordered a bit big and sanded it for a tight fit.  Glued in with hypo.

Ok, you've already established from some of my earlier chats that I am an utter cock. I cannot do what you do, not a chance. But do you reckon I could at least replace the crystal and plop on some of that vintage lume - therefore avoiding taking the hands off?

The lume needs to be on the hands as well.  I don't know any way that you can do that with it on.  This is a difficult mod.  I have done a lot of them and it wasn't that bad for me.  People cock up the movement stems taking off the hands and putting them back on.  Those tiny hands fly away to parts unknown.

But the plexi alone would make it better.

Fuck. That.

When my missus goes away for a week with the kids, I am doing this. Like you did. The whole thing. Fuck it. I am doing it, or breaking the fucker trying, no inbetweens. Game on.
