How much are they normally?

I have no money but it's almost tempting to get one for when I get a 7750-based watch... :thumbsup2:

Why no dial picture? Is it Date on 4/5 or Day/Date on 3?

Do they fit in every 7750-powered rep? Hm, I would never be able to do the mod myself, but how much would a modder take?

Is it Date on 4/5 AND Day/Date on 3?

the answer is YES

if it is proper, it can have 2 day/date wheels on the main plate. at least that's what i have seen.

So, Mike, it had Day AND Date?

Great, thanks!

any proper 7750 has the ability, and should have the jeweling and cogs for it. its like buying a motor that fits 10 cars, but taking off the turbo for one chassis, and taking off the intercooler to fin another.

terrible analogy but i dont know how else to explain it.

So will this fit in my PAM 288?

Somebody please dig up the old thread about the hand sizes. I know there are different hand sizes on one of the Asian 7750's, and one's the same as ETA. Hi-beat or lo-beat, I forget which one is the same.

I'm thinking about a 288 also but I'd hate to buy it and not have the correct hand sizes.

perhaps this....

Ziggy's info:

Genuine ETA 7750 all variants (all):

Hour 2.00mm

Minute 1.20mm

Center Seconds 0.25mm

Subdials 0.17mm

Old Asian 7750 version all variants(21,600 BPH):

Hour 2.00mm

Minute 1.20mm

Center Seconds 0.25mm

Subdials 0.17mm

New Asian 7750 (28,800 BPH) Normal ones - NOT the Daytona model (don't have one to measure):

Hour 2.00mm

Minute 1.20mm

Center Seconds 0.20mm

Subdial 0.20mm

Also note on the New 7750, the center seconds post, is below the top of the minute hand tube. On all other versions of the 7750, the center seconds post is about 1mm above the minute hand tube, not below it. Therefore the center seconds hand on the new 7750's, has an extra long tube on it, to make up this height difference. So not only is the hand smaller in diameter, it's longer as well...

Here's what I've found with a quick search..

Asian 7750 hi-beat:

Hand size - Hour: 2.00mm

Hand size - Minute: 1.20mm

Hand size - Central Second: 0.20mm

Hand size - Sub Dial: 0.20mm

O'Frei lists hand sizes as 120/200/25/20 for the ETA 7750.

Edit: seems that same as Ziggy's.

Im confused so from what I have read its not going to be a straight swap over due to slightly different hand sizes?

Yep, I am confused, too xD If I was certain that it would fit my Breitling SOH, I would really consider buying it... but hey, on the other hand: That movement would be more expensive than the whole watch ;)

Brand new like these ones usually are in the 350-500 EUR price range.

From time to time some used one go for 250-300 EUR.
