jdoe 0 Posted April 17, 2011 (edited) Although I cannot stand gold-plating and dislike Rolex they seem pretty good. But check "swiss" in swiss made on the goldie, or should I say minute markers 31 and 32 Edited April 17, 2011 by jdoe

Balad1 0 Posted April 17, 2011 Knowing what you paid or a ball park figure would put things in better prospective for me. What I would expect from a $300+ watch versus a $129 is too different things. Also keep in mind that few reps if any are perfect.
slylex 1 Posted April 17, 2011 Duplicate post $290 for the Yellow Gold $260 for the Pro Hunter.
Balad1 0 Posted April 17, 2011 I see what you mean about the "Swiss" lettering. For me I think I'd ask Mary about it and see that she says (they could all be like that). Either way I'd probably approve them for shipment.

David543 0 Posted April 17, 2011 (edited) I'd check with Mary. If she sees something she normally rejects the watch. She just rejected the colour finish of the ceramic bezel on the new ceramic TT sub I was after and wouldn't supply as it was bad from the factory, then rejected another sub, non ceramic as the Rolex crown was off center before she sent me pics of one she was happy with. She really does QC as much as possible!!! Great looking watches by the way!!!!! Edited April 17, 2011 by David543
Balad1 0 Posted April 17, 2011 Both reps would work for me, having gotten over the 10x eyeballs and expectations I used to have. I'm sure someone else who has been around longer will be along shortly to give you their prospective. The only thing that still bugs me is bezel alignment at the 12:00 position. I still can't overlook that at all.

Cynikal.Mindset 1 Posted April 18, 2011 the off-centre pearl on the pro-hunter is pretty bothersome
slylex 1 Posted April 18, 2011 (edited) the off-centre pearl on the pro-hunter is pretty bothersome Yea, it really is, that and the SWISS on the all yg. Edited April 28, 2011 by slylex
MikeMcNair 0 Posted April 18, 2011 the off-centre pearl on the pro-hunter is pretty bothersome so much so in fact that it was the only thing i could focus on in this thread, before i read any posts. it has shadows, from unnatural angles, like, its over hanging the inverted triangle. also, i hate the rolex rotor covers on the goldie, rip that bitch off. sideview of goldies CG looks choppy on left side casebacks are yuck, but all of them are for the most part. SELs look good, if they are tight. bracelets are decent dials are ok (aside from SWISS on goldie that we all see) price is right for DECENT watches with GOOD movements. i would ask for minor repairs (pearl, swiss) and i am sure mary can get them right
MikeMcNair 0 Posted April 18, 2011 look closely at goldies upper and lower crown guard. the top is thicker, and more rounded, while the bottom is more crooked, and almost choppy looking. it is VERY CLEAR to me, so look carefully, you will see what i mean. MikeMcNair 0 Posted April 18, 2011 the crown guards on goldie are TOTALLY DIFFERENT SHAPES, as in THE TOP IS THICKER< more SQUARE, and more STOUT. the BOTTOM CG is THINNER, more TRIANGULAR, and plain old weird lookin. this is not an optical illusion as it shows in EVERY PIC, regardless of light angle.......... here are my screen shots, i will point out the FLAWS....... notice, i TRACED the gold crown guards, then held the paper next to the flawed pix. THEN, i held the same tracings next to the SD pix, and you will see what i mean. the SD has PERFECT CGs for a rep, gold one, not so much..... now, look at the same weird shaped tracings at the same angles on the SD......
