McGilli 1 Posted March 22, 2018 Is there an option to have lume added for an extra $15,000? Bur seriously - on the dial Ok - I see it's two alternating rows going on forever 1 row of - GSGSGSGSGSGS in the Grand Seiko font... Makes sense. but what is that in the alternating rows? S?S?S?S?S?S?S?S?S?S? <---- what is that symbol between the S's? almost like a stylized infinity logo?

"The spiral pattern incorporates both the letters of the Grand Seiko logo, as well as the mark used to designate watches made by Daini Seikosha, the Seiko division that created the first Hi-Beat watches " Looks a bit like a twisted egg timer to me, but the above is what the article says For the budget conscious amongst us, theres a steel version with a blue dial, a snip at slightly more than 6k https://www.hodinkee.com/articles/grand-seiko-sbgh267-anniversary-introducing

HAZZA 0 Posted March 23, 2018 The blue dial is gorgeous! Their limited editions used to be 100 pieces, now 1500? It's about time the "non swiss" brand gets its recognition!

I actually wasn't familiar with Grand Seiko really... I think in the past I saw a watch of theirs I liked - but was super $$$$... Still out of my range, but - easily a brand name I will search for when looking to drool a bit....
