New purchase arrived today - always fancied a PADI version Seiko diver and love the new Samurai so couldn’t resist this one!

Looks great in person so very happy with it.

I’ll take some better pics soon. :)

Thanks, and no. I’ve always fancied trying it but have never got round to taking lessons.

give it a shot, you don't need lessons if you go out with an instructor, snorkeling doesn't compare!

That's a  looker all right.

I tried to stop into the Seiko store on the way into Tampa this afternoon, only to find that they closed their store in the outlet mall 2 weeks ago.  Damn.  I wanted to look at this one, and the orange dial in the flesh before making my choice.

You should. I scuba dive and I absolutely love it. I just got back from a week's scuba vacation in Oahu. The water is crystal clear and warm, and sitting 60feet down on the bottom, watching the turtles swim by, is exhilarating.

I use my Seiko dive watch for this and it's never failed me.

It has the 4R35 movement.  Main details are here:-

Depends what country you're in and where you buy it! ;)   RRP in the UK is £429.

Congrats mate. How is the lume? If I am not mistaken this is their first watch with a bi-colour lume. How is the blue, it is equally good as a nuclear Seiko green lume?

What a great looking watch!  I’m really impressed with what Seiko are doing.  Their watches. Are well priced and excellent quality too.

Congrats on your purchase!

Thanks! :)

The lume is very good, even the blue colour, which maybe is not as strong as the green but still lights up pretty well.

Quick pic in daylight after charging with a torch:-
