greg_r 84 Posted May 1, 2009 Interesting new limited edition Panerai launched at BaselWorld this year. I'd read about this at the time, but this is the first decent photo I've seen: Based on an original 1950's model that had an Angelus movement, this is fitted with Panerai's new in-house 8-day movement. It'll be interesting to see if it gets repped. One of the few PAMs I'd be unlikely to buy, though - it's waaaaay too big. I'm comfortable with 47mm, but this thing is 60mm! onzenuub 310 Posted May 1, 2009 It's just a Panerai, nothing much
AllergyDoc 40 Posted May 1, 2009 It's a cross between a submersible, radiomir, and that other model with the round thing to the right of the post. It's fugly!
greg_r 84 Posted May 1, 2009 It's just a Panerai, nothing much But vastly superior to those trashy Breitling things...
Luthier 1 Posted May 1, 2009 It's just a Panerai, nothing much But vastly superior to those trashy Breitling things... 60mm, huh... Good to hang on the wall if it wouldn't be so.... unpleasantly looking.
greg_r 84 Posted May 1, 2009 Yeah, it is kinda fugly ain't it. Just too bulky to work visually. Not one of Panerai's best. Looks like something Dave might wear, though... (compensating, as usual )
jameo210369 0 Posted May 3, 2009 sometimes you can over compensate, and 60mm dial is overcompensating.
greg_r 84 Posted May 3, 2009 Yup. Which is what brought Dave to mind...
JohnG 41 Posted May 3, 2009 The Pam fad is already dying out - I wonder why they are investing in new watches.... They should try to squeeze all they can out of the existing lines, then just close up shop.....
iabounty 8 Posted May 3, 2009 It will always be a ROLEX world gentlemen, like it or not, THE most well known luxury watch on Earth...
trailboss99 997 Posted May 4, 2009 Sixty MM? WTF? Why would anyone want to wear a 60mm watch? Realy, that's over kill. You would have to have one hell of a small dick to need a 60mm watch. Would make a nice wall clock tho, but, as Luthier said, damn shame it's ugly! Col.
