bloon 0 Posted May 1, 2018 (edited) I was looking for bronze watches and I came across the Corguet version which was plated bronze. From TD sites, they state the Tudor Bronze Bay is completely bronze. Is there any other way to check whether the case set is completely bronze apart from scratching/shearing it down or disassembling the entire kit and testing the density? EBB 25 Posted May 1, 2018 (edited) only the case back is plated so it doesn't get on your skin, at least in the newer versions! In the older versions it was all bronze Edited May 1, 2018 by EBB
Pseudorep 3 Posted May 26, 2018 My XF is definitely bronze all the way through - I've had the back off and its bronze inside. Also the weight and feel is different to SS. And finally the acoustics, bronze resonates so the watch rings like a mini bell when ticking.
AwesomeSauce 19 Posted July 7, 2018 The corguet version isn't even plated bronze, it's a coffee coloured PVD so it won't patina like bronze! The reps are solid bronze which is why they cost so much more Regards
