Bigfatweenie 0 Posted May 14, 2018 (edited) Hi! This is my first post, I recently bought a 3135 movement to make myself a franken. Any opinion would be great to help me. This is the first time I'm doing anything with reps of frankens, so I'm a total newbie. I was thinking of buying the arf Deepsea 904l with the SH3135 to swap for my gen 3135 with blue spring which is beautiful. Any opinion will help. J!m 289 Posted May 14, 2018 So, you have zero experience and you want to swap a $2000.00 movement into a rep? My advice is to learn how to do a movement swap on less expensive movements. You have a 85% chance of destroying the hairspring during installation. Then you have to send the bare movement to be serviced before you even get into setting hands correctly etc. This is the "deep end" of movement swaps and I strongly suggest you either have someone experienced do it, or wait until you have the skills to do it yourself. NDJ 19 Posted May 14, 2018 Do yourself a favour and get a watchmaker to do the swap.
