Balad1 0 Posted April 22, 2011 Interesting concept from Seiko. As the inventor of the quartz watch in 1969, SEIKO has led the watch industry for four decades in refining quartz technology for each new generation. New since Fall 2010, SEIKO introduces its 2011 Solar Collection, a group of quartz watches powered by all kinds of light which when fully charged, have a power reserve up to one year, thanks to a solar cell with high-efficiency electricity generation. Capable of converting all types of light into energy and with no battery replacement ever required, SEIKO Solar is a bright idea that is good for the planet. powderfreak 0 Posted April 22, 2011 Orange? Did it really have to be orange?! Well, but the techno behind it is indeed good, at least the idea.... but who knows, if you have to change the "energy storage device" every 10 years, you'd be better of with a battery watch...
