aitcharGMT 0 Posted June 9, 2018 Daydreaming here, but has anyone done a mod to a watch so it can work as a flyback chronograph? I was reading this article where companies have modded the cam and/or replaced it with a column wheel so that the chrono functions as a flyback chrono. I'd be interested in doing such a mod. Any info on that regard would be appreciated! (Apparently everything else in the 7750 has stayed the same and only a few pieces replaced)

GenTLe 1,509 Posted June 9, 2018 Someone did it: https://watchbase.com/bremont/caliber/be-83ar-flyback And also they were others that did a rattrapante based on it: https://watchbase.com/panerai/caliber/op-xviii BUT they were movement companies, certainly not amateurs like us... Yeah, a few companies do it for pennies and minor modifications as mentioned. It sounded that only the right parts were required with no extra drilling or jewelling (only a small amount of parts btw). I'm getting very proficient with the 7750, if you don't mind me saying so I wouldn't mind spending a few hundred... hours to try.
