A New Bronze Gen... and it's not a Seiko (lots of pics)!

I Picked up a Mathey-Tissot.

I was insearch of a watch that I could use my custom canvas strap with (I love this strap)!  I really only had two requirements; case color was either a Bronze or Rose Gold and the most important was that it had to have a 20mm lug width (so the strap would fit).  I did not rule out Seiko but kinda wanted a different brand just for variety sake.  So after a bit of searching I found this watch that caught my eye.  The only problem was that nobody had the lug width specs.  Even Mathey-Tissot's web site did not list it.  I sent an email to Mathey-Tissot and they came back with the answer I was in hope of; 20mm!  I ended up buying it from Joamashop and used a coupon of theirs to get the price even lower.

Overall it has a nice feel to it and wears rather comfortable so far.  The leather strap that comes on it is not bad but it's nothing to get overly excited about either.

Specs:
Model: H901BZN
Movement: Auto Sellita Caliber SW 200

Case Diameter: 40 mm
Case Thickness: 12 mm
Case Material: Stainless Steel
Case Back: Transparent
Lug Width: 20mm

Dial Color: Black

Hands: Rose Gold-tone
Luminescence: Hands and Markers

I plan on putting the canvas strap on soon.  I am debating leaving the PVD buckle on it or changing it to a bronze one.

So for now, let some pictures say the rest.

the un-boxing....

It is comfortable and supple but with that said I have had better.  I wasn't too worried about it since my intent was to change out the strap to begin with.

I can see where you are coming from, fortunately for me this is not something that bothers me.

I did wish that it was a tad bigger but the lug width helps it wear larger and I am comfortable with that.  The color combo is great and I do anticipate a good combo with the canvas one; after all the canvas strap with the watch color was my driving factor.  With the Joamashop coupon the cost was only $320.

That is a handsome piece. The sand-blasted bronze case is a really distinctive touch.
