That's lovely.

Have you considered changing the crystal as well?

The watch appears to have had a hard life from the look of the dial. Hopefully it is only cosmetic and that the internals are ok.

The internals are okay as far as I know :D The watch is not perfect, it has some scrubs and have probably had a hard life, but I got it as a bargain and I couldn’t resist  :)

do you know where I can buy a gen crystal?

The case diameter is 35 mm, it’s smallest watch I’ve got :)

Great choice, I'm moving into these now some great watches around. Many of my customers wear vintage omega's. They look great!

Yeah I would recommend, the vintage watches have a certain charm to it that new watches doesn’t have!

This is lovely! There’s just something with the vintage watches isn’t there!  Maybe it’s the fact that you can’t just nip out to the high street and buy one :-)

All the best and congratulations on your purchase!

No offense to those who love their reps, but I often advise people to spend their money on vintage Omegas or modern/vintage Seikos.

Both amazing bang for the buck.

I love reps, and I usually buy the reps that I can’t afford in gen and never will be (like AP and Pateks). I try as much as I can to buy gen, especially vintage where you can find good deal on the grey market

That's a lovely watch, well done.

I'm watching for the right vintage Omega myself.

Rep's are fun too.

The crystal very likely can be polished. They are made of a plastic material. Also there's a good chance NOS crystal maybe had. For sure reproductions are available.

Join the Omega forum, the folks there are like here very knowledgeable and helpful.
