Annndddd

It has been seized by Customs.

The seller, exlcusive-chrono of Holland, declared a value of zero on the customs form.

I have refused the shipment and demanded my money back from chrono24.

If you have a chance to deal with exclusive-chrono, I suggest you run, do not walk, in te opposite direction

If they just put "Broken For Parts" there'll never be an issue. :picard:

WaIt, WHAT!!?!

How the hell can they screw up sending a Gen?

I thought it was only Reps we needed to stress about?

When you say 'seized by customs', on what grounds? Or do you mean they're demanding that an importation tax be paid before they release it? If the latter, isn't that to be expected?

I'm confused.

Good luck getting your dosh back anyway!

Pretty sure they are suspecting a fraud to the declared value as they opened it and saw a nice watch with nowhere near a value of 0$ unless proven otherwise (can be hard to do).
So I guess they are asking an importation fee based on a calculated value.

@Piloten This reverso really don't want to meet Hank it seems... :p

I hope you find a way to get it !

Yeah . . . so. update: Chrono24 has frozen the escrow account and "started an investigation that could take weeks or months so do not ask for your money back."

Also, the illegal replica that I bought M2M is, ironically, sitting at the post office waiting to be picked up

final update:

So, I went to customs. Got threatened.

Played dumb.

They stopped threatening me.

Charged me money.

It is here.

It has a band fit only for ginger and other fairies.

I don't care.

I am going to sit in the sun and drink rum.

If you choose to deal with exclusive-chrono or chrono24, you're a moron.

Here's my gorgeous, ginger wrist enjoying tonight's lovely sunset just now.

If your watch is too small for you, send it my way :thumbsup2:

Oh, and where are the pics!!?!

Welcome to the gen JLC club. It's always waaaaay more stressful buying a gen online than a rep.

I sold my first JLC Memovox (regretted it ever since, thus my second)... and when I sold it, fully insured, btw, the Man in Brown 'lost' it for four days. I was shitting bricks as I'm sure the buyer was as well. They found it and everyone lived happily ever after. But that's some scary shit when you have many thousands of dollars in a small box that anyone along the line can open, pilfer and rebox. Glad it all worked out.

BTW, JLC movements are the smoothest around. I always call them Patek Philippe watches on a Rolex budget... because the movements and case finsihings are every bit as good as PP.

You can go even further since PP already commissioned JLC to make movement for them (as pretty much every other high end watch manufacturer). JLC is THE movement maker

Really? I didn't know that.
