I guess you could try and then wipe the excess off so its only in the scratch...
Maybe the sharpie "bronze" marker?

So, things evolved. 

But the fact remains that the painters is the best looking color. No question to me. If you can make it durable, that’s the clear winner, including the two latest entries. 

I wanted something simple, like the original sharpie mod. Model Master non buffing aluminum metallizing lacquer is the best compromise I have so far. Maybe something better will come along...
