The RWG DWO Tool v1

Recommended Posts

Logixa

In close collaboration with the one and only Sir @Glaude a dwo tool has been made!

With our expert backwards engineering we managed to create the files again for 3d printers to use and print it out in your local 3d printer stores.

Due note that you will need a very thin printer wire to print it correctly and maintain the proper hole dimensions. What size exactly is needed is unknown yet, if anybody finds the best size then please share it here!

Here is a link to the files

Guide:

From: Glaude

You can also get it printed via thingiverse and some online 3d printing companies.

The best way to print it would be with a SLA printer (resin) but otherwise you could use the thinest layer height possible to increase the precision of the print

- 3d file (STL) : https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3040962

I've included two files : one RWG branded and another blank one

- A4 sheet (PDF) full of the DWO tool that you can print on the thicker paper that your printer will accept and use the same way you would use the 3d printed part, that way you don't need to bother with finding a 3d printer.

I've included a scale on the print to check your printing settings.

You must cut inside the lines or the holes and outside of them for the exterior. All black lines should be entirely visible after cutting.

Enjoy and report back if there's anything wrong, I'll correct the files

Mods can we please make this an sticky?

Great - now to find a printer store- on my last gen to eta conversion I used .74 dial feet. I like using this gel glue- you have to be patient and let it fully cure for two days before moving it but it’s worth it.

The 0.74. Is the correct size for the eta yeah. I used these from Bergeon on my last builds.

I am trying to find the right size wire for 3d printers so that guys that don't have access to 3d printers can get one through me for a small fee.

Noice !

How are the tolerances ? Did you measured the various holes and compared them to the paper version ?
100 % infill is the way to go I think
