Playing around with a 6542 - white dial

Had a spare 1675 and some parts.  A little elbow grease.

 

Its not in the final version.  Needs a red/black datewheel, better bezel, but what the heck.  I can at least wear it.  Oh, its a custom dial, small gmt, brassed the stock bezel, drilled the case and took off the CGs.  Dial and insert by @repmaster1234

Pretty cool! Are you going to relume hand or dial to match one another? 

I'd love to learn more about the dial and insert @repmaster1234. 

What is your process for making the dial? Can you post a macro of the dial - I've curious to see the texture/detailing of the logos and dial face? 

Same question for the insert, how do you make it? I've been contemplating trying to make "bakelite" inserts.

Dial and hand lume is the same color.  Maybe lighting or something.

Hey, thanks for the interest! By now you may have found that I actually have tutorials for both of those things somewhere on this forum. It may require a bit of digging but they are here somewhere, lol.
