Re: GZ another thing is that I BET you many of us aren't good bargainers. When they hear you speak any language outside of Mandarin, it's over, they will take you for a ride. I speak perfectly fluent Cantonese in 3 dialects and they still see me as a foreigner because I am much larger physically and most of them don't know Cantonese anymore. The western buying mentality does not work.

 

People who have been to China know what I mean. Plenty of "my friend", "best price I can give you" and calculator negotiation.

Well Im full Australian, 5'11" 240lbs an can press a full cheesburger into my mouth. I speak 3 languages, Straylian, English and American And I am looked at as a foreigner every time I go to Sydney.

I'm 6'2", 196lb, pure white, but then they show me calculator, I say - " Hun Dan, Bei Hu Nong Wo, Wo Zhi Dao Jia Ge!!!"... and they immediately slash the price in half.

So, they understood - no messing with me. $30-$45 is most I pay.
