SuperOcean Heritage II mini review

Recommended Posts

So I got the new SuperOcean Heritage II 42mm blue dial (GF) from @Mary Watch a few days ago, and I've been asked by some members to write a review.

I'm not much of a writer so I'll keep short :)

Some specs (that you can find on any TD site):

Size

46mm x 14.5mm

Movement

Asian 2824 automatic movement at 28800vph

Functions

Hours, minutes, seconds and date display

Case

Stainless steel case

Crystal

Scratch-proof sapphire crystal with AR coating

Dial

Blue dial

Bezel

Blue ceramic bezel

Strap

Blue rubber strap

Clasp

Tang buckle

Why I got this watch?

I was looking for some time to a "near water activities" watch. Something that will look nice and I will conferrable to enter shallow water with it if needed. For this kind of activities I prefer a rubber strap and this is one a great example of the style.

The dial and hands

The dial is amazing, the color and the finish are wonderful. As soon as I have the time I plan to go to an AD near my home to see the gen and compare. But regardless of the gen, it is truly a great job.

The hands are good, very close to gen comparing photos. I'm happy with them.

The strap

The strap that you see in the photos is the rep strap that I've mod to fit deployant clasp (instead of tang). The strap is good for a rep but not even close to the gen.

The deployant clasp is a cheap one I have, this is not the right clasp and I'll replace it soon.

If you have a small wrist (like my 5.9") the rep strap will be too big for you and we must get another strap (or mod it like I did).

The movement and power reserve

The watch is quite and keeps time well (+1 sec/day). The power reserve is amazing, about 56 hours.

The bezel

The bezel is very "stiff" and from comparison to gen photos I'm not sure the pearl is 100% the same.

I know this is very short so if you have more questions please feel free to ask!

Nice pics!

Love this model, especially in blue!

Wait is this watch 42mm or 46mm?

Gratz on the new watch, although it looks really big, maybe it's just the angle...
