My 6263 Daytona came back!!

If you folks don't remember or didn't see on a few posts last week I sent my cartel Daytona up to the legendary @mzinski To get some work done on her. The watch was purchased from Robbie back in May with a PN dial, which was actually in pretty good shape IMO (at least compared to the other cartel dial options) Here's a pic of it before:

IMG_6034.jpg

The watch now has a new Yuki dial and Alpha hands, which are thinner than cartel's, more close to gen. Also the ST19 movement has different sub dial spacing than the gen, leading to the infamous "Bleeding" sub dials found on cartel reps. A major turn off for me for getting one.

Luckily, some people next door at RWI documented a mod where they moved the 6:00 sub dial stem (which is faux on the rep) up to meet gen spacing. It took some work for them, but the result was gen-spec spacing for a gen-spec dial. And it looked fantastic.

So I contacted a few mods and ended up putting this project on hold for a bit until I ended up sending this one to Mzinski (Sorry @Logixa, He was CONUS). I felt like these mods were important to the watch since the dial spacing and hand thickness would make a huge difference. But I'll leave that for you guys to decide :) . After a few (hundred) PMs and a few days this bugger came back to me! And I'm very pleased with the result!

Here are some more shitty photos I took with my shitty iPhone.

Again, Huge huge thanks to @mzinski for all his incredible work! One of the many incredible mods on this forum.  Let me know what you think about this project. Next up for Fox:

Getting his broken GMT 1675 movement replaced

Getting a badass new 6542 GMT

I love falling down the vintage rabbit hole...

Thanks for reading folks,

Fox

Huhh .... Darn ... A Vyrus 987 !?!

I rode a Vyrus 986 once ... never saw a Vyrus 987 in real life.

The Vyrus 987 C3 4V uses a water-cooled 1098R 1198cc Ducati engine producing 184 bhp. The Vyrus 987 C3 4VV adds a supercharger producing 211 bhp and holds the title of the world’s fastest production motorcycle.  You can get one for around $78-$100K USD

Oh shit! that's a fast bike man. And yeah that's it his is in white though. He got it a little while ago. Said it had a Ducati engine or something. I'd figure you'd know about it!
