Thanks for starting this thread Foxy, following, as one of these is definitely on the horizon, This will make it easier to narrow down the choice.

@Chixisigma SSC663P1 I think looks fantastic and has a lot going on. Sun065p1 also lovely with that unique looking case/bezel.

I'll be sure to add to this thread by the weekend as good old Aussie Post says my (colleague's) PADI is expected to be in my mailbox tomorrow.

Fair play to ya. Folks on here like some interesting and challenging watches. Probs can't go wrong with a PADI ey. What a partnership

My PADI turtle on a new Uncle Seiko z199 jubilee bracelet. Perfect combination!

Next will be a double-dome sapphire AR crystal, coin-edge bezel, and a signed crown. 8e8fbf2657ec4495bdd15599c879cfd3.jpgafe8bc823a8da261d71c1829005a21a1.jpg

Love the PADI sammy Russ. Have you considered the Crafter Blue black/red rubber strap for it? I'm ordering one for my PADI sammy today

That watch was purchased for a colleague.

He's happy with the Bracelet as he prefers metal to leather or material.

And you'd be spot on with your observation, Mark.

SEIKO has been a revelation to me over the last couple of months. Just the variety, and the quality is amazing.

You can pick up a PADI turtle for around $250 lightly used with boxes, etc on WUS and such like. Add a Crafter Blue rubber, and an Uncle Seiko Z199 jubilee, and a NATO, and for under $400 you've got a quality genuine diver with 4 strap changes.

The turtle family is pretty cool. They're a 44mm watch that sits very comfortable on the wrist and wears smaller due to the dial size. You can modify them cheaply, with dials/bezels/inserts/chapter rings/crystals/straps/crowns, and get a whole lot of different looks.

The Samurai is also a great watch. Not so many options to mod, but it's a unique watch that looks far more expensive than it is. I picked up my PADI samurai for $379AUD BNIB in a Starbuy sale last month.
