Tiffany’s 1680 Relume

Recommended Posts

hanski

Recently got the chance to relume a JK Factory Tiffany’s Dial 1680. It’s a pleasure reluming this “era” watch with a creamy yellow, slightly pillowed lume. The added depth helps the flat, stock Cartel dial come alive.

I just got my hands on some dark brown tritium tone lume powder - my next endeavor is to start experimenting with adding another layer of tone/texture to the lume dots - mimicking the degrading tritium lume of years past. Just need to get my hands on a spare 1680 dial...

Oh, some pictures:

I used to have a full kit from them but I can’t find them anywhere. I figured they went out of business. You have a url?

Stunning. I've been wondering: which would be the way to go for sourcing a Vietnam dial with the Tiffany&Co. stamp? I had heard that ruby offers that service not sure if it costs extra though.

Ruby or MQ would be the best options. Depending on which dial. Some dials, MQ has better ones. Some, Ruby has better ones. So you kind of have to research quite a bit. Compare dials with both and gen versions.

They won’t be cheap tho.
