DocThor 5 Posted October 24, 2018 So...some of you already know that I was on the hunt for an Avenger Seawolf on bracelet (preferable grey dialed one) and most of you know how hard it is to find one. The actual Avenger models weren't an alternative for me because the Seawolf II isn't available on bracelet and the GMTs are way too blingy for me. But a few days ago there was one for sale and the price was what beat me to buy it and so I did. The watch arrived and the shiny look really wasn't for me. I was thinking of a C&R but haven't had it on the wrist so I decided to wait. The Movement had a problem (probably keyless) and so I was visiting Domi to take a look at it. The keyless was screwed and some screw parts were floating around within the watch causing the movement to stop from time to time. So Domi had to dissemble the whole movement and while I was waiting an idea was growing in me... Domi has a nice bead blasting machine...why not "removing" the eye blinding shine and have the watch bead blasted... We did it and the end result is very nice and even better...a watch that I can wear and an Avenger that is not ending but slowing down my hunt for a grey dialed Avenger Seawolf (if you have one let me know!!!) To have a bit of a contrast I decided to leave the bezel and crown as it is and to me it was a wise decision and is just adding to that very special look. I think this is how a toolwatch like the Avenger should look like. The shiny surface all around doesn't acutally show the real character of that watch. Another problem would be matching the titanium color of my watch but that's it or miss I am fraid.
