Got to admit, this is quite stunning ! Congrats !

I tried it on the gold oyster bracelet this evening, but I gotta tell you, it’s not as good as the purple lizzard shoes!!!

I love purple but I find that this combination takes a bit of the glam and the colour of the watch and focus on the strap, What I like about what you've created is the hint of colour from the subdials & indices, the strap draw all the attention, but that's entirely my take on it ! Glad you enjoy it !

My, oh my!

I gotta admit that, while I publicly adhere to the anti-bling bandwagon, somewhere deep inside my soul I still find a bit of desire for some bling-y models (the 2018 Basel Rainbow Daytona, for example). This watch, especially being 1 of 2, and the story surrounding it, makes me lust for it!

Good job and please, do post more pictures whenever you get the chance!

DC,

I do hope you find the time to have a sensible pair of boat shoes customised to match.
I’d also like to be a fly on the wall when you meet clients IRL... “he must be really good...” ;)

Hope all is well with life & family squire.

@_DC_ You are not a quitter, that's for sure! Irrespective of one's opinion on the watch, you deserve admiration for not only finishing your project but also for providing this excellent insights in the manufacturing process! Chapeau!!!

Hey buddy!

Long time no speak!!

As you can see I’m having some sort of early mid-life crisis, but aside from that the DC clan are all well and good thanks mate.

Safe to say this watch will not be seeing clients, lol, not if I ever want to be instructed on another property haha!

How are you doing? What’s your collection looking like these days?

For some reason I missed this post. I haven’t been on the forum for a long time, but this is certainly the best build and review I have read. I prefer the gold bracelet. Makes for a more masculine and robust watch. A very impressive build no matter how you decide to wear it.

I agree, even though is gold and blingy, knowing what lead to this piece makes it much more enjoyable to see and more likeable !

I just can imagine that this feeling is even bigger for Stuvetjee and DC !

Maybe I missed it in the thread, just had a quick read of it again, did you specify what type of gems were used ? Lab diamond ?

We used Cubic Zirconia for the dial, and the bezel baguettes were custom cut, not sure which type?

Thanks ! I guess Lab diamond were a no go being how expensive the project already was ! In the end, nobody notices at this level of quality !

So what you’re saying is we had a baby together...

Certainly a special feeling, it’s always exciting to get a new watch but when you know you have been instrumental in creating it and are one of only two people to have it that definitely make the feeling even more special!!

It’s really not as in your face as you might think on the wrist either, at least not on the gold bracelet... (on the purple strap is another matter :D)...

Almost subtle really... :baghead:
