Hy

My Pam 687 has the problem.....

If it's wind up completly, I can't screw the crown down. If not completly wind it will work. So my question. Should I shorten the winding stem ?

The opposite: the stem push the clutch in the crown when you push the crown to screw it in.

If the stem is too short then the clutch isn't engaged and you have the defect you're writing upper.
