Stem removal on a Asian 2836?

Recommended Posts

OLLO

Hi,

How is the stem hold in the 2826 movement, only by the keyless work that is lifted when pushing through the hole

or is there a mechanism that holds the stem even without the keyless works ?

Thanks for any help.

Oliver

Only the keyless. Pull the crown out to 3rd position and press the button. It will come out

Thanks,

But If I have to press the button to get the stem out, it is hold back by the pin of this button right ?

Thats my problem, the pin and the button are gone ; (

Anyone knows where if this pin/button ius replaceable and where to get it ?

kind regards

Oliver

But if the Setting lever 443/1 for ETA 2836-2 is the release button

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1-x-Setting-lever-443-1-for-ETA-2824-2-2834-2-2836-2-watch-movement-Repair-Parts-/253699915051

then I didn´t kill the pin : )

but that means if I press on this lever that lever is lifted and the keyless works goes up and thats why too much pressure

makes a mess in the keyless works and you have to reassemble it completely ?

Sounds like you pushed it too far in, you’ll need to strip down and re assemble the keyless works

After connecting the Yoke spring to the settings lever

gmt/date / time setting work now like a charm.

only winding does not work or it is so subtle I don´t see and hear it.

I may have to buy a new winding pinion.

This never rotates with the stem, or maybe its on the backside of the movement ?

kind regards to all supporters

happy Oliver

P.S. this site helped me a lot to identify the parts of the movement

Hey bro, Have a look at this video. You can fast forward to about 5:27 for the keyless works disassembly. You don't need to remove the calendar works, the author is disassembling the whole watch. I would just rebuild the keyless works and you probably be good.

Good luck!

unfortunately winding doesn`t work ; (

I´ll have to reopen the movement and reassemble the keyless works one more time.

Hi again, I had to open the watch again as the second hand came off and as I promised myself....

I reopened it to fix the winding problem after reassembly of the keyless.

Any help would be appreciated as always.

kind regards

Oliver
