Alan32 832 Posted December 11, 2018 (edited) When I started my watch collection I decided to remember my diving days by getting a Diving rather than a "Diver's" watch, which had to be a gen. After perusing the Diver magazines top watches I decided on a Chris Benz watch, in particular the "stop shark finning" deep edition, which comes with a 1000 m dive depth, a helium escape valve, an dive suit expansion clasp and a book called "Blind dates" about encounters with these magnificent beasts. part of the price goes to the stop shark finning organization which is trying to eradicate this barbaric practice. Having had to wait for the new batch of watches to be made, it finally arrived and I found that the book was in German, The guys at Benz have now amended the website to make this clear and offered me part of the money back, but I countered with an offer to return the book for reissue in exchange for a rubber strap which has an ND guide, and I now await my new strap. Anyway on to the pickies https://picr.me/image/Np2nb Box and book https://picr.me/image/NpGr2 "Air tank Box" https://picr.me/image/Npwwd watch https://picr.me/image/Np8zZ wristie https://picr.me/image/NnoYK clasp on everyday wear (excuse thumb print) https://picr.me/image/NnGEL Clasp with extension to easily fit over dive suit/gloves. blueoysterboy 17 Posted December 12, 2018 One of the greatest aspects of this forum is the opportunity to be educated. I never heard of Chris Benz before but that is one helluva timepiece. Good one mate
