Love this mod, want to try it on mine if I can ever find a gen bezel assembly cheap enough

If you are doing it with reps, it's a lot easier to start with a GMT and swap in the Explorer dial and hands. I did it the other way around and had to tweak and mod the bezel assembly and retaining ring to fit the rep Explorer. I had to do it that way because I couldn't source the Explorer dial and hands separately.

If doing it with a gen Explorer, the gen GMT retaining ring fits 1:1, and the bezel assembly snaps right into place. WSO makes an aftermarket retaining ring and bezel assembly that I have several of and I have a hard time telling which is which from my gen.

Hi, Gang! Welcome to PAMSDAY (Thursday) in dave's world. Because a PAM is one of the better of the watches to help his aging eyes tell time easier, it's important that I wear one on a regular basis w/o ignoring other watches in my collection. Today? This nice looking PAM 111 on rubber OFFICINE strap w/ sandwich dial picked up M2M a while ago. dave:

Interesting you say that as I'd been warned by a modder on here that the wso kits were no good... They're cheap enough I'll have to get o e to try out

The appearance is nearly indistinguishable from gen. The machining tolerances are not exact or uniform from one to the next. I had to make minor corrections to the inner diameter on all of them I bought to have them fit on a rep or a gen. I did one completely with 600 grit sandpaper, not wanting to take too much off. This took way too long but ended with a perfect result. The next two I did I used a dremel sanding drum since I knew about how much to take off. Much faster and same good result.

Mystery Shopper

This was my first rep from PWC back in 2010. Never had an issue with it.
