I was thinking about it actually one of my first watches I saw in my life was the seamaster in James Bond 007: GoldenEye and I loved it but 24 years later iam not into omegas actually :D I don't know why but I don't like the bracelet and the design it's a shame I know. I have the same problems with panarais and patek watches :D

I'm with you on the Panerai issue, but to dismiss the Patek brand is unfathomable.

The Problem with Patek is i really don't like the dials (on gen and on the reps) and i don't like the polished midlinks on the bracelet thats the only 2 issues i have with Patek :D

If they would bring out a updated dial with a not polished bracelet i would buy it :)

don't get me wrong i know a lot of people like that design but the dial looks to me to "old" i like newer modern designs, AP is doing an impressive job on that front, they really redesigned the Royal Oak. I know now they changed it again (which i don't really like) but yeah.

Same with Rolex i didn't like the old Submariners but the new ones i'am really in love with it.

Funny story i actually bought the automatic one  (the old one) from an Admin on another watchboard because it was the only piece on the market then a few weeks later my TD emailed me that he can get aQquartz (i ordered a automatic but it was out of stock) for a cheap price so i got that too, 3 years later the Sang Bleu TMF version arrived and was only available at one shop i ordered there and they did a fuck up and my watch was seized, a lot of bla bla bla (thats why you should stick to TDs!) later i got the same version from a member m2m (because it was actually a gift for my own birthday which indeed did arrive a day before my birthday :D ) and then the shop decided to send me a new one (after weeks of talking with them), so thats why i have actually 4 sang bleus (2 cheap ones and 2 expensive ones).

That's ok.

People change with time.

I've certainly grown to appreciate vintage pieces, that I didn't really care about when I first signed up here.

This is called growing and maturing. We all understand that time helps to better appreciate tastes and colors .

I had the same experience with wine! :wine:

Hi Tigerdragon

I see that your have a Rolex Submariner 116619LB -> 21j Narikaa Version

I am looking into the versions on the market right now and I have trouble finding out what I should go for. Since no rep bracelet is made with 18ct white gold, I would really love to find the one who looks as genuine as possible.

Can you elaborate a little on your version, since I am not familiar with the 21J N actually. Which factory should I go for with such a watch and what is your overall impression of the watch and bracelet look?

Thank you in advance for your feedback.

The cheaper versions are going to have a 21J movement - 6 ticks per second.  There are plenty of other versions with the higher and same as gen beats per second version which would be 8 beats per second.   You can email the TDs here and ask them what your options are.

As for finding something similar to white gold with a rep?  Not going to happen.  Reps are all made with stainless steel and will have a slightly different hue than white gold, not to mention the weight.  White gold is much heavier than stainless steel, you won't find any rep that's anywhere near the weight of a gen.  Then again, unless you hand the watch to someone to look at, they're not going to know the difference.  In my 7 years here, I've had maybe a dozen people over the years notice my watch and say anything.  It's usually "nice watch."  No one has ever asked me to handle it.  So if you are ok with someone just seeing it on your wrist, I'd say email the TDs asking for an 8 beat per second movement (A2824 or A2836) and go for it.

Nice collection, thank you for sharing it.
You can set each watch to a different time zone!
At a glance, see the time in the world! :Applause:
