Seiko are a funny old big corporation. Selling a good deal of their well designed watches to very limited markets and constantly changing their range. Love ‘em or hate ‘em they produce some outstanding pieces and some truly dire design calamities. Personally I prefer the green and gold and I don’t even like gold. If they took their classic designs and tweaked it with dial colour changes and other subtle design changes rather than have a massive range and constant changes I reckon they could have the some of the Swiss boys on the ropes. But I don’t think they are listening to me - no one should.

This is less bad than the green one but still a bit of a mess.  Its limited edition for a reason, because it wouldnt sell in big numbers because it looks a bit shit

The dial on the green is what made the alpinist a bit special IMO, this looks a tad boring in comparison.
