jaydee 0 Posted March 4, 2019 (edited) I've been searching for good clone of cartier santos 100 xl so far though I failed to find the very close clone yet. Even though the replica's price is around $500 and it says 1:1 perfect ratios..., it has a projected case back. The original case back is not sticking out. In addition, The original case back is egonomically curved. Even expensive replica of santos has a projected flat case back. Have you ever seen any santos 100 XL with a very close case back to original? Jin Edited March 4, 2019 by jaydee
BadApple 13,081 Posted March 4, 2019 So let me try and get this - the very aspect / facet of a watch (that is not in the top 50 of the most popular replica watches) you don't see when you wear it is preventing you from buying a watch that looks etc... perfect from the "business" side? Great first post.

deju 1,873 Posted March 4, 2019 Please post an image of what you mean? I’m pissing my self laughing because I’m sure you’re comparing modern XL case back reps to older XL case back gens
fatarms 7,777 Posted March 4, 2019 I'm actually on jaydee's side here, you guys are all assholes. I know that there are chrono complications, GMT complications, power reserves, etc... But think of the uniqueness of a watch complication of a mirrored case back that allows you to fix your hair when the wind blows. Or possibly help you put in your contacts in a pinch. And if they make it contoured, the possibilities abound, like using it to start survival camp fires using the sun, or burning ants. Think outside the box, you buttholes. jaydee 0 Posted March 4, 2019 No, even rough googling can find original 2004 model of santos is exactly in same situation (case back slightly curved and not stiking out). If you know any modern santos 100 XL rep with curved and not stiking out case back, please let me know it I'll be happy to see it.
Glaude 1,615 Posted March 4, 2019 Best projected caseback I could find is this : Is that what you're talking about ? Because it's the first time I heard about a projected caseback...

I much prefer the Santrex model, the special deforming mirror caseback with protruding prong makes your wrist look lovely, but of course, if you can find one !
