Undinist 20 Posted March 6, 2019 The clasp was really, really tight when I bought the watch new. I should have adjusted it to reduce the strain on the crown. But I didn't and eventually the crown came off. Both surfaces (on the crown and the clasp) are completely smooth. I can't see a blob of broken solder or something, so I can't even tell how the factory attached the crown. Can I just glue the thing back on? There seem to be various superglues and 2 pack epoxies which claim to be good at gluing metal to metal.
Rx4Time 1,472 Posted March 6, 2019 Pictures? Is this a hidden clasp or standard clasp?
Nikosaldente 630 Posted March 6, 2019 I never use the Crown as leverage to lift the flip lock Clasp to protect it from the thing it happened to you..... I always grab it from the outer sides... I don't think it's there with a super glue... It's electro glued on....
Luxuracer 14 Posted March 6, 2019 Try jewelry glue. My cousin makes custom jewelries and she uses Aleene Jewelry & Metal Glue.
Undinist 20 Posted March 6, 2019 Electro glued? What's that?

Rx4Time 1,472 Posted March 6, 2019 If it's a hidden clasp he runs the risk of gluing it closed! I had one and the Coronet came loose...not off completely. There was no way to resecure it. Had to get a new bracelet.

FoxWilde 155 Posted March 6, 2019 You can laser weld it on. Or cheaper jewelers glue. It’s happened to me before. Last resort is buy a clasp on the Gate or Etsy or something, and switch out the part.
Undinist 20 Posted March 7, 2019 I'll try jeweller's glue first and post some pics here. If all goes well the watch is destined for M2M, so it will be good for it to have a bit of history in this thread.
bobandshawn 5 Posted March 7, 2019 JB weld from the hardware store works perfect. Clean both surfaces very well, slightly abrade them then apply a drop of weld. Let it sit till tomorrow - viola' B
