Ocean 39 GMT Premium 500

After some trials and tribulations, finally got the Steinhart as I configured it.

Ocean 39 GMT Premium 500
https://www.steinhartwatches.de/en/ocean-39-gmt-premium-500.html?___from_store=de

I've owned the Ocean Titanium 500 GMT Premium  and it was almost exactly what I'm looking for, but this ticks all of my boxes.

  1. GMT function
  2. Bi-color bezel "like" Rolex, but not the same.
  3. Date -- without being standard in 3 o'clock position.
  4. Jubilee bracelet with SOLID... VERY SOLID mid and end links.
  5. End links are TIGHT. I had to use a tiny bit of soap to slide her in. She is tight.
  6. 39mm. Not 40. Not 42. Definitely not 44.
  7. AR crystal.
  8. Display back.
  9. Basically... gen GMT like but without the clone Rolex feel.

Bonus:

  1. The crystal sits proud on the watch which means it has a little bevel. When it catches the light, there is a blue hue just on the crystal bevel which is pretty. Kind of like a gen Milgauss, but not quite.
  2. Jubilee bracelet but the center links are BRUSHED, not polish. Perfect because I want the jubilee feel but not that full jubilee knockoff look.

From the page above...

The STEINHART Ocean 39 GMT Premium 500 is our contemporary interpretation of a divers watch classic par excellence and comes up with many remarkable details, such as the extremely robust  stainless steel 316L case. Additionally, it has a from the inside double anti-reflective domed sapphire crystal, which is framed by the unidirectional rotating diving bezel with its glossy black and blue ceramic inlay whose engraved markings were generously equipped with luminous material.

This also applies to the pointer and the dial, whose light blue accents emphasize discretely the character of this modern sports watch. Inside the Steinhart OCEAN 39 GMT Premium 500 the movement 2893-2 premium of the Swiss company ETA performs its extremely precise service. The beautifully decorated movement is visible through a sapphire - crystal bottom. Whether on a stainless steel -, synthetic- or leather band, the STEINHART Ocean 39 GMT Premium 500 always leaves a cool impression, a must for every watch fan.

Nice, Sapphire front and back. I always dismissed these as a discounted brand but your review has changed my outlook.

Still check in regularly. Just got so many watches (25+) I'm deliberately staying clear!

Flick me a message if ya need to and I'll pick it up! Also, got a cheeky Tudor arriving shortly from Baba so pics will surely follow...

How's your collection going?
