New daytona - love it!

Everybody knows the white dial 116500LN. The ceramic panda dial (but is it really a panda dial? who cares) daytona. Seems a lot of people are willing to trade their left bollock for these, and they're naturally very popular in rep form. Like many I saw it, loved it, wanted it. Got the ARF version and was really pleased with it - but here's the twist!! In a rep world first, I decided a few months down the line that actually, I much prefer the classic steel bezel.

Not only did I go backwards, I fully reversed and opted for the black dial while I was at it. The white wasn't great for telling the time at a quick glance, so this is more practical for me as well.

BEHOLD!!! The ARF 116520:

The bracelet doesn't feel as nice on this one but that's my only, very minor complaint... HUBBA HUBBA :fme:

I agree, telling time at a glance on a white dial panda is challenging for those of use with older eyes.  Enjoy

The ceramic is certainly far more popular. I dunno, I just went off mine after a while. Maybe seeing them everywhere made it feel less special or something. I was originally deciding between the ceramic panda and this model, and at the time I just said fuck it and went with the newer one. Turns out I genuinely do like this one much better.

I had to get the hands painted on my white-faced panda so I could see them.  ... and I’m only 60. :oldman:

I was referring to legibility

The white dials (either 116500 or 116520) seem to be more legible than the black

Where are you guys living that the ceramic bezels are so common?

I live in a large city and I've only seen SS daytonas, never a ceramic daytona.

I still find the Chronograph hard to read on the black dial, the 126520 is slightly better as the tweaked the silver subdial rings on the ceramic version

Looking at purchasing a daytona, doing lots of research, looks awesome without the ceramic to me

We have the gen daytona with steel bezel, and it honestly is a scratch magnet if you wear it daily.
I would exchange the bezel any day for a ceramic one if it was possible!
