the_frenchman 31 Posted March 20, 2019 Is it just me who doesnt find the thread or looks like this place as lost interest in one of the best events of the year ? One that had my interest at the moment : NEW AUTAVIA WITH CERTIFIED CHRONOMETER Also for there is a new Batman with jubilee bracelet for Rolex fans .
GingerApple 7,299 Posted March 20, 2019 I've been keeping an eye on it, but I think it's mostly dreadful so far. The Rolies are rubbish, the Tudors worse. That Tag is one of the better ones! But it's a Tag. Just a bit rubbish all round.

I owned myself a Aquaracer and a Autavia Chronograph . Very good watches IMHO

deju 1,883 Posted March 20, 2019 Moser has a nice watch out but as mentioned generally this year is a bit bland!

Khronos 1,339 Posted March 20, 2019 I kinda like the Tudor "Daytona" https://www.hodinkee.com/articles/tudor-black-bay-chronograph-steel-and-gold-introducing A bit cheesy, but so am I. I'll stop bitching to my TD about the datewheel alignment too.

Also I think it'd have looked better with a black date wheel with gold fonts.

You know it’s a bad year when Oris, Sinn, Tag and others stolen the show.
Khronos 1,339 Posted March 21, 2019 I don't understand why there even has to be a date window on that dial.. It ruins the symmetry completely.. Just like with the new Hamilton Auto-chrono.
BenjaminButton 149 Posted March 21, 2019 Wow. Reminds me of an old Breitling Superocean! Exactly the same thought. First glances... there seem to be a few ‘I feel I’ve seen you somewhere before’ designs. Perhaps it’s the same as it ever was. Here’s the Tudor BB P01 (too close to POS?). What a strange mishmash. The case around the crown makes me think of Seiko 009 and 007’s, dial is same old and as for that strap .... that’s some seriously fucked up diy leather and steel failure. All looks a little desperate.

GingerApple 7,299 Posted March 21, 2019 Re the PO1, do you know that all that ridiculous metal excess is functional - it's jaws that locks the bezel in place. Because that's a function that's going to sell a lot of watches in this day and age
Automotiveromance 1 Posted March 21, 2019 Not very exciting to say the least. I was hoping the Sub would get the new movement this year. And I can’t believe Tudor didn’t introduce more color variants of the BB58. There’s always next year
GingerApple 7,299 Posted March 21, 2019 I quite like the grey dial on this new Patek. I don't think the Regulator design is very functional though, I find it hard to read the time. But there's just something about the dial that looks super modern and effortlessly classic at the same time. I'd like that dial in a stainless steel/white gold model, but with normal hands. Looks like the designer worked for Diesel watches or D&G watches in the past
Howitzer 1,974 Posted March 21, 2019 11 hours ago, Khronos said: This in steel with panda and reverse panda dials would be a lovely looking watch. Would make the date aperture less jarring too. They could have at least used a gold background.... Maybe next year!

Mr_B 2,401 Posted March 21, 2019 I think the Tudor offerings are dog shit this year, last year they stood out, don’t know what happened!
