Whenever I hold onto something rigid, my shots are blurry or out of focus :daffy:

Great tips Del.

I usually find myself standing by the patio doors to get the natural light, but the nearside (6 o'clock end) of the watch is usually very dark or in shadow.  It's not uncommon for the wife to walk in while I'm stood there with. White tea towel tucked in the neck of my shirt acting as a reflector to get blnced lighting both sides of the watch. It's the best tip I have.

Usually followed by her muttering "sad nerd" as she walks off.

Here's one with the teatowel

Excellent write up for wristies. Great tips and hints@del . 100% on clean the lens on your phone. And a quick clean of the watch of course. Microfibre is damn good as@Badapple says. Isopropanol alcohol great for cleaning all sorts of things but not sure about it as a tipple! I use the PS Express app on my phone for tinkering on photos. It has a great blemish removal tool for those specs of dust you miss.

Lens distortion appears to be an issue with my current phone-cam.

If Android based, the Lightroom app will correct the phone lens distortion :)

Not strictly for wrist shot use but this thread has reminded me of the emergency lightbox I made 4 years ago that I'm still using incase this helps anyone

I’m thinking about investing in a false arm. This could then be clothed as necessary, thus leaving both of my own arms/hands to steady the camera and therefore eliminating one of the problems. Hmmm I wonder how much a second hand manikin is .........  :typetype:
