Del 4,445 Posted April 9, 2019 I’ve been considering a nice gen purchase for a few weeks now as a gift to myself after leaving my job of 28+ years and finally decided on the Rolex Datejust 41 in Oystersteel with Oyster bracelet and white dial. I assumed I’d have to order it as finding the exact Rolex model you want is rather difficult, especially if it’s a steel model. However, much to my surprise, I spotted this model in a local AD last week and fortunately when I went back today it was still there. After the customary try-on I bought it. Even Jomashop and other Gray Market sellers are marking up way above list prices. Are the AD's doing that too now? I saw a Hulk Sub for $15k, way over the list. Plain SS Sub C $11k (list $8500). My first decent rep is a Datejust 36 with silver dial and oyster bracelet, I cannot believe how much I love the real deal in 41 with that white dial, absolutely beautiful. Oyster bracelet just gives it a certain boldness and flexibility the Jubilee sometimes doesn't, you know? It's casual when paired with an OCBD and some khakis, dressy with a business suit, it just has a classy versatility that fits in everywhere. Great taste, congratulations.
