Ska 11 Posted May 21, 2011 Final Sausage dial tests. Oilers only (still practicing with the stylograph) but this one was especially hard due to the original numerals being lume-free as you can see on the left meaning that these had to be done completely freehand. The sharp corners and the tiny second/minute markers were also a big challenge but I think it came out great. Its my vintage mix too, so in daylight you can hardly tell the numerals have been lumed at all. Binocular microscope is absolutely essential for this type of work. Aren 27 Posted May 21, 2011 I really enjoy following your progress Kenny. I wonder if I will ever be brave enough to remove a caseback Is the Orient still in progress? Ska is very generous with his assistance. It is so great to see such support of the improvement of the hobby. B)
Del 4,459 Posted May 21, 2011 Great work Ska! Looks spot on, especially those very fine minute markers - very sharp looking.
KeNnY 29 Posted May 22, 2011 Great work Ska !!!! Can' wait when I get the better set of oilers to do also this fine work ! :P Thank you Aren ! Orient is pending progress, the rotating inside bezel, was weak plastic, and when I tried to remove the old paint, it has dissolved in my hands But I had it made really good, too bad that this happened... I can show pics, before it went to "shits"... Then I wanted to relume it second time, and then it went bad... I have also relumed my Ploprof and WebWinds Chopard is finished. Soon I will upload more pictures.
KeNnY 29 Posted May 22, 2011 Here is finished WebWinds Chopard The lume is green, only my camera, can't still decide, if the lume will be green or aqua or blue...

powderfreak 0 Posted May 22, 2011 Wow, great job, folks! Ska, that vintage lume is perfect, don't know what to say else... Kenny, you are really making progress, I don't see any flaws on the Chopard, very good! Wiz, amazing, why didn't you try to sell 'em on here ?
Wiz 0 Posted May 22, 2011 Wiz, amazing, why didn't you try to sell 'em on here ? A sale on two forums would have been more painful to handle, plus the 4 watches were sold in less than 9 hours.

powderfreak 0 Posted May 22, 2011 Wow, usually I don't care so much about the lume of my own watches, but this is the first time a PloProf looks "damn good" in my eyes! Great job, I still struggle to put it on my list, but when you ever want to sell the lumed one, Kenny...

Great job, I still struggle to put it on my list, but when you ever want to sell the lumed one, Kenny... Hehe thank you ! The bezel is not still lumed, even that on this pic it looks good, but bezel is still weak lume. I am going to relume the bezel, when (and if) Mary will source me the spare crystal, to replace the old one in my Ploprof. Mabye then my Ploprof will go to sale, but we will see later
KinCaidk 0 Posted May 22, 2011 looks damn good, Kenny! How about some macro shots of the dial?
