1000 Posts - The Story of My Rep Collection (In Pictures)

Recommended Posts

MAJ75

To mark the milestone of 1000 posts, I thought it would present an opportunity to look back at my journey so far.

I joined in December 2015 & the photos below show in more or less chronological order how my collection took shape (many of the pieces have been sold along the way).

This is Part 1 showing the reps that I have bought, worn, loved & sold!

So here we go:

Great photos, and some really nice watches, quite similar to my favourites.

Need to do an update of my collection not done for a couple of years

Lovely pics.

Would you mind to tell me the secret to avoid constant AR reflection from the crystal when taking the shot?

Regarding the AR reflection, extremely careful angling to ensure no direct light (from the sun or artificial lights) can hit the crystal. I am not using a light box or anything fancy, no diffusion either.

I was lucky at the start to get some good tips & have researched in depth to try & get decent results.

Extremely humble alongside what you have put together my friend & the peak was only around 25 pieces.

Thank you for sharing.  Great photos!!  The Longines Chronograph is my favorite.

You must take the photos as soon as you get the watch, or you never wear them because the watches look immaculate!

Nice collection and something for me to aspire to.

I regularly clean them plus I rotate every day easing the strain!

I can live easily with every selling decision  I have made to date, but the Space Dweller would potentially give me serious remorse (regardless you have dibs if & when that time comes).

It was an absolute pleasure, I don't have the excitement of so many incomings these days. I used to love the photshoots & sharing with the community.

A mere 1000 posts???

You must have a life on the side.

Sublime photography of a thoughtfully curated collection!

I love those vintage pieces.

Russ.

PS : If you tire of that Space Dweller....

Lovely shots mate, I’d wager the TD’s would sell a lot more with those photos. Looking forward to part 2 to see what you’ve held onto. And I love the under appreciated Cornes de Vache!
