GenTLe 1,490 Posted May 5, 2019 ...it gives me something to do in my spare time. Like this cold, gloomy Sunday. And since I've managed to find the main spring arbor (that flew away when I opened it), I'm now happy to move on
Automotiveromance 1 Posted May 5, 2019 Pesky little parts. Hope you didn’t get hit in the face by the uncoiling mainspring

A MESS... 1 hr to get them all an another hour to rewash them again... Never done any kind of tasks like these with the cold anymore. 1 hour ago, Jibuti said: sorry to be 1st to tell you but your watch looks broken! It will be back in shape soon I wasn't satisfied with the 260° amplitude and, even more annoying, the center chrono hand was resetting between 12:00 and 12:01... I hate dis-symmetry. GenTLe 1,490 Posted May 12, 2019 And one of the things I TRULY hate ... Putting back the hands on a chronograph. I HATE it. They not only get scratched extremely easily, but to properly put them in the perfectly centered position is royal PAIN in the ass. I also had to remove and repaint the black parts on these, as the paint is given over a polished surface so it's extremely easy to chip it if you have to reposition any of the hands with the others are already there. The whole damn afternoon to achieve the result. Here the aftermath of the repaint job:
GenTLe 1,490 Posted May 12, 2019 Here the results (the pic isn't perfectly centered, ans looks like the central hand isn't supercentered, but it is ):
TRANSPORTER 1 Posted May 12, 2019 Nice work mate, I’ve had to repaint hands in the past, even like you small chrono hands, I found spray being the best but you need to pin the hands in place other wise they disappear ( don’t ask ) !!
Nikosaldente 630 Posted May 12, 2019 Once again, awesome result Alex

Not to mention it's not Thursday OR the 24th :P Nice work, bud. I had the gen panda dial of this watch, was the first gen I bought. Man, how I miss that watch looking back at how well finished it was. I was a fool to sell that one. Enjoy, and great perseverance!

GenTLe 1,490 Posted May 18, 2019 I wasn't satisfied with the aspect of the chrono second hand... Carefully cleaned and passed with ear stick with a tiny amount of this thing: Now it looks as it should And for the joy of @RussP there are also the missing screws
